What did i see?

late one night while camping i saw 3 points of light move across the sky. each one would have appeared to be a star of medium intensity had they not been moving. the formation moved in a triangular pattern and took several minutes to fade from view. however, the pattern was warbled, as if watching a triangle move under slightly rippled water. i saw nothing between the points of light. it was far too high and the motion was far too irregular for this to have been a plane. any thoughts, and save the smart *** remarks. this occurred about 3 years ago near fort hood, texas.
