Maplestory not responding after I have chosen the cl and it stops responding, help?

K I have windows Vista on my comp. whn i start the game it works until u select the type of character ie. adventurer then whn u click create character it stops..but music continues to go on... I need help! I tried to do the comparability thing on properties but it ends up not running at all..I really want to fix this before march break casue My friends and I are doing MS game thingy soo pwease :D
