What does the pill do?

it really depends on the kind of pill. they have this new one where you take the pill for 3 months then you take what are called "reminder pills" which allow you to have your period for 7 days, then you go back to taking the regular pill. some people end up having really light periods, that may seem nonexistent, but considering you're a heavy bleeder in the first place, it will just lighten them up. your doctor will most likely have to put on the pill to help you. it's really nothing to be worried about. he or she will explain it all to you. that's what they're there for!
