What would john mccain have done differently?

Had John McCain have become president instead of Barack Obama, what would he have done differently and how would the country have fared? In other words; were "Obama's failures" an inevitable progression this country had to endure to get to a better place (the bailout, health care, etc.) or was there a better plan? If there was a better plan would McCain (or any other leader) have enacted that better plan?
