The Vicious stud stereotype?

So these days you see stud horses competeing and being kids horses and all around very well mannered gentlemen. But still everyone thinks studs are vicious and dangerous. But todays training and raising methods totally reform that stereotype. My stud is almost 4 and he is incredibly friendly.I can control him at a rodeo with a mare in heat right next to him. I just bump him a few times and he is fine. But many rodeos, playdays, trail rides and competetions ban stud horses. Who still believes studs shouldn't be allowed to go places? Who thinks studs should be given a chance? I mean shouldn't the owner know what they can and cannot handle?
